Katlyn, who is from San Francisco contacted me via e-mail inquiring about her Kentucky wedding and me as her photographer. Katlyn and I emailed back and forth setting up dates and times to meet up with each other when she was here in KY. Our first meeting was at a coffee shop. I gave Katlyn and her mom a big hug as they walked in and we began discussing the big day. It was an instant connection!! After the meeting I just knew we were a perfect fit and I could not wait to start all the planning!

I got to meet Tommy, her then fiancé, when they came back to KY in the winter for their engagement session. Their love for one another was like something you read about in a book! They were precious together and made my heart smile big!

At our final meeting I planned their detailed timeline, we went over last minute plans and made sure everything was just as they wanted. We then knew everything was going to be perfect!

The wedding day arrived and the weather, the details, the attire and the couple could not have been more perfect! The energy and joy from this day left me so thankful for this sweet couple that I get to call my own!

The bridal party had so much fun and their friendship was contagious! The girls had me rolling with their fun personalities and made me feel like I was a part of them. The guys were just as fun and at one point one of the groomsmen even threw Tommy to the ground after having him on his shoulder (photos below…..hilarious!)

As the sun was setting we snuck out for a few more romantic portraits of the couple and had them just soak in the moment of being married! This calm and intimate moment was one of my favorite parts of the day.

Once back to the reception the party had started!! The night was filled with laughter and dancing… lots of dancing! The couple ended the night by popping and shaking a bottle of champagne!
