When the brides mom who is one of my photography friends, mentioned that her beautiful daughter Brynn, wanted me to capture her wedding my heart exploded with excitement! I met Cricket, (mother of the bride) and Brynn while on a Photography Alumni Retreat in Nashville TN. Cricket is an outstanding photographer and Brynn was one of our models for the retreat! I fell in love with them both! Last year, I traveled to Richmond VA with Cricket for another photography workshop where our friendship grew even more.
Before we ever made it official of them going through the wedding experience with me I had to let them know that I would be 3 weeks (or less) from having our second child. There were concerns I might not be able to make the wedding however, I would still edit, blog and do all the back end of the business for them. They booked and I couldn’t have been more excited!!!
Wedding week arrived and sure enough, to my disappointment I was unable to travel to TN to shoot the wedding per doctors order. Brynn was so kind and understanding. She said to me, “home and safe is exactly where you need to be” which made this heartbreaking news a little more bearable. I had been looking forward to shooting this wedding and getting to see friends I don’t get to see often that I might have even shedded a few tears. However, my two amazing co-associate shooters, Lauren and Rachel were ready and well prepared to capture the wedding for this amazing family!! I must say having two girls that I have worked with for years but also call some of my best friends made me feel 100% confident and at ease with not physically being there.
I communicated with Lauren and Rachel throughout the entire day and they both kept raving about how the couple was so full of joy and how their love was contagious. Some great details I was told about and funny stories are just too good not to share. One being during the ceremony the couple tried to light their unity candle and the lighter would not light. Brynn turned to everyone and said, “The Lord knows what we were trying to do.” It was so funny and made everyone laugh. Also during the ceremony, Brynn’s dad acted like he wasn’t going to give her away, and for a second everyone thought he was serious! This too was hilarious! The reception was filled with yummy food, a beautiful cake and LOTS of dancing! Even though I was not there in person I was there in heart and could tell it was an amazing day full of love and joy.
Tanner and Brynn, I am so thankful that you chose myself, Lauren and Rachel to be a part of your wedding day! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites and are enjoying your honeymoon!
This amazing day would not have been possible without this wonderful team of vendors!
