Mr. & Mrs. Riley | A Detailed Farm Wedding

Sep 3, 2021

You know those clients who become so much more than clients?  That is how I would describe this beautiful bride.  I have known Larken since capturing her senior photos years ago and I made such a connection with seniors in this graduating class.  So of course, I was thrilled when Larken reached out to me about capturing her wedding day. Every aspect of this day uniquely and truly reflected who Clint and Larken are as a couple.

When we arrived and entered the venue, I was pleasantly surprised to see this was not a typical barn wedding.  The space was so classy, timeless, and the theme of the day accented it well with quaint, southern tablescapes and touches.  The details were beautiful and again, were so specific and unique to Larken.  The girls arrived and did some finishing touches before some fun robe photos.  All the girls wore cowboy boots- this was especially fitting and surely nothing new for Larken’s wardrobe.  She has her own horse and dogs that she packs up to hit the road and travel with often.  Speaking of which, her two dogs did not leave her side the entire day.  I was so happy to incorporate these sweet babies, just like we did at their engagement session.  They sat perfectly posed beside Larken in all the portraits.  Clint and his groomsmen were so relaxed as we captured them hanging out and preparing for the day.  His hat and the belt Larken gifted him with their brand engraved on it, perfectly fit the style of the day.

During the ceremony, Clint and Larken shared a special moment through branding – they placed their brand on a  display.  Again this perfectly described their lives in the country and farm world.  The weather was perfect and we had a glowing sky with just the right amount of clouds.  After capturing their sweet family, we ventured around the gorgeous property to capture some just married moments of Larken and Clint.  They were so sweet and had an effortless love about them.  Some of the portraits included horses, who Larken and Clint easily befriended and persuaded to pose for us.  How fitting for this southern couple and day right?!!

The rest of the evening was such a fun celebration in the illuminated, timeless barn.  Cracker Barrel actually catered this wedding, which we looked forward to all day.  Who knew? You can’t go wrong with their country cooking. Then, as the night concluded, the DJ invited everyone outside to the covered dance floor.  It was the best space to keep the party going with a checkered dance floor and twinkle lights setting the mood.

Larken and Clint, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to capture your day!  I’m so glad to continue celebrating and capturing so many of life’s milestones with you.  I hope it was everything you dreamed of and more! Please enjoy a few of my favorites!

This beautiful day would not have been possible without this amazing team of vendors!
