After getting to finally meet this sweet couple this fall for their engagement session, I have been looking forward to their big day in Indiana. Any destination wedding is always so much fun to see what each state and venues have to offer. Remember, traveling is the way to my heart! From the time I pulled into the drive and saw the first glimpse at the stunning white buildings with water in the background, to getting out of the car with all my gear and coffee in tow, I knew it was going to be a good day.
Sara started off the day getting ready in the most spacious and stunning bridal suite that offered plenty of natural light (this makes me the happiest) surrounded by her closest friends and family. The way the dress hung by a full length gold mirror with windows and exposed brick surrounding was one of the most stunning dress shots! Her lifelong friend also doubled as a florist (as her profession) and made all of the beautiful bouquets. Sara’s bridal bouquet is one of my all time favorites that I got to capture with stunning pinks and colorful flowers.
After taking all of the getting ready photos we ventured out into the cold for the intimate first look, which took place on the porch of the venue. We then ventured around the stunning venue for their couple photos. We even enjoyed a beautiful dock on the water for some romantic shots with the perfect backdrop. After the couples photos the bridal party joined us for some fun shots together. The members of this bridal party were troopers for sure! Next, we headed back inside and waited for the ceremony to commence.
Although the couple had planned to have the ceremony outdoors the freezing temperatures had them quickly switch to plan B. Everything was moved inside the barn where the reception would take place. The wonderful vendors worked hard to make sure everything was picture perfect and the transition was smooth.
If there was one thing that I took away from this wedding day, it was how much Sara and Tim were loved. That was a resounding observation that was shared throughout the day. Family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate with these two and everyone enjoyed each and every moment!
Sara and Tim, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to capture your day! Thank you for braving the cold conditions and trusting me to capture your love!! Please enjoy a few of my favorites
This amazing day would not have been possible without this wonderful team of vendors!
