Mr & Mrs Ritchie | A Summer Farm Wedding

Jun 23, 2022

Eric & Kirsten’s wedding day was the epitome of a perfect summer wedding, taking place at the stunning I Do Barn. We were blessed with beautiful horses , perfect temperatures and glowing light…. it was absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention the fun that was had by all that attended. Celebrating Eric and Kirsten was easy!  The day was orchestrated perfectly and their love for one another was contagious.

There were lots of laughter while everyone enjoyed the morning getting ready together. Then there was the first look that took place just steps away from the ceremony location. This spot featured lots of draping greenery, a black fence and beautiful horses which provided the perfect backdrop for the sweetest first look. When Eric turned around and saw his beaming bride to be, they truly paused and soaked up the moment. These are the moments I never want to rush or interrupt, but simply let my clients be and capture their genuine love.  When they were ready, we decided to stay in this dreamy spot, taking advantage of the light.  The I Do Barn has many breathtaking sceneries to utilize for photos.

When the ceremony began there were several moments that had myself and all the guest smiling and laughing.  One being the “flower boys!” They made their entrance by jumping over one another, clearing the chandelier and then dramatically tossing the flower pedals out of their fanny packs. Although they had all the attention on them when it came time for the real flower girls they made sure to have everyone laughing as well. The cute little flower girls took their job very seriously and made sure all of their flower pedals were tossed out of their baskets. Once they were out of pedals they decided to just throw the baskets as well. It was adorable. The bride made her entrance down the aisle along with her father and all eyes were on her. She was absolutely stunning!! A beautiful ceremony was performed by the pastor as the two became one.

The reception then took place inside the barn. The lights glistened as the bride and groom danced with their closest friends and family throughout the evening. There was a surprise proposal that happened during the bouquet toss by their friends which made for another special moment! Love was definitely in the air and I truly believe fun was had by all!

Eric and Kirsten, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your wedding day! Please enjoy a few of my favorites!

This amazing day would not have been possible without this wonderful team of vendors!
