Mr. & Mrs. Hubbs | A Blush Signature Club Wedding

Jun 8, 2023

Daniel and Emma’s wedding day in Lexington was the perfect way to start off a double header wedding weekend in Kentucky.  I was especially excited for this as I connected with Emma when she was a teacher at my daughter, Mia’s nature school.  Mia Grace loved Miss Emma and I had to send her a picture with the bride and some of her other teachers at the reception.   This day was classic, elegant and joyful from the venue to the people and even the vendor team, it was the best day!

We arrived at the Signature club to start off the day with some details and getting ready photos! I always ask for extra florals/loose stems to accent the flatlay details.  The florals for this wedding were particularly beautiful and they gave me an abundance of extra flowers, so I gladly picked up the entire bucket and carried it to where I had set up my detail camp for the day.  The Signature Club is a charming venue with black and white tile floors, a large balcony and nice getting ready suites.  The reception space was already mostly ready upon our arrival and had nice white linens with an elegant H monogram design in the blush color of the day. Emma also had a special detail with a pendant photo of her grandmother on her bouquet, along with some pearls from her. We had the best time with her girls on the balcony as they made tik toks in between getting ready and robe photos.  When we had the bridesmaids interact with Emma and hype up the bride, they were truly the best hype girls and definitely lived up to their role.  Emma’s dress was so beautiful and fit her perfectly.  It had a certain whimsical fairytale feel to it with the subtle sparkle and delicate lace detail.  After hanging it on the royal-looking wooden front doors of the venue, it was time for her sweet mom to help her button it in the pretty bridal suite.  The dainty blue color and marble floors just added to the princess, fairytale element of this dress.  I couldn’t help myself from capturing just a few photos of Emma with her bridesmaids on the white balcony before heading to the church!

Upon arriving at Todds Road Grace Church, it was time for Emma to share a sweet first look with her Dad outside on the beautiful summer day.  The ceremony took place in a clean white sanctuary that had a traditional, timeless feel.  We did some family and bridal party photos outside with the sunlight peeking through.  Finally, it was time to capture some portraits of Daniel and Emma, now that they got to see each other!  We ventured around the church property capturing some dreamy light and moments.  Another cool feature of this day was the party bus.  Before we departed back to the signature club the bridal party, followed by Daniel and Emma boarded the bus.  Throughout the day on the party bus, the bridal party  erupted with cheers as the bride and groom entered and upon exiting/arriving.  SO fun!

Once we made it back to the signature club we snuck the couple away for a few more bride and groom portraits in the glowing courtyard.  This was followed by a dreamy sparkler mock exit with the bridal party before Daniel and Emma entered into the reception.  Not only did they have sparklers but confetti poppers– which we finally got working after some trial and error.  This just gave everyone some laughs and the exit turned out great!   The reception consisted of a candy bar (I even had to take a couple bags home to my girls!), delicious cupcakes, and a slideshow of the couple that played throughout the evening.

Emma and the bridal party took full advantage of the dance floor.  I mentioned the great vendor team which included the DJ who kept this party going and the videographer team who we’ve had the privilege of working with before.  One of the videographers and myself joined in on the dance party for a bit too, as it was too fun not to!  For cocktail hour and the rest of the night the reception opened up to the terrace that overlooked the rest of the signature club with the pool in the distance, creating an atmosphere of summer nostalgia.  There was a pretty white bar on the balcony, bar tables and they even had games like corn hole and connect four going out here as well with guests chatting enjoying the nice evening.  The food was excellent and served by a Mexican restaurant located right here in Lexington.  This is a trend I can get behind with my love of chips and salsa!!!  The whole evening went so smoothly and was a great end to a perfect day!

Daniel and Emma thank you for having me capture your day!  It was a joy to work with you all.  Please enjoy some favorites!!!

This amazing day would not have been possible without this wonderful team of vendors!
