On a picturesque Saturday morning, my second shooter and I embarked on a journey to Louisville, Kentucky, excited to capture the love story of Stevie and Joe. Our destination was the enchanting “Woods at Cedar Spring,” a venue I had never had the pleasure of shooting at before. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the natural beauty that surrounded us – a tree-lined path, stunning fences, and gates that led to a property adorned with lush, meticulously manicured flowers.

Stepping into the bridal suite was nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail had been thoughtfully planned, from the pristine white walls to the elegant gold mirrors. It was a space designed to make every bride feel truly special. As I walked in, I was not only greeted by a stunning setting but also by the warm smiles and hugs of Stevie and her bridal party. Stevie, our beautiful bride, had already begun the process of getting ready, and she was an absolute vision.

One of the highlights of the day was capturing the intricate details Stevie had incorporated into her wedding. The theme was a unique blend of Boho and Western elements, and it was executed flawlessly. From her Western hat to her jewelry and boots, every detail reflected their theme. Notably, Stevie had three different sleeves custom-made for her dress, a special touch that added a dynamic element to her attire throughout the day that was handmade by her aunt.

While the bride was preparing in the elegant bridal suite, the groom and his groomsmen were having a fantastic time in their own stunning space. The room was adorned in black with beautiful wood details and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Laughter, toasts, and camaraderie filled the room as they readied themselves for the ceremony.

As the time for the first look approached, we ventured onto the property, basking in the soft, golden light and lush surroundings. The moment when Joe saw Stevie for the first time was truly priceless. Their love and anticipation shone through, resulting in a collection of heartfelt images that captured their essence perfectly. Stevie, with her long belled sleeves, and hat, stole the show during this intimate moment.

The bridal party was a delight to work with. The guys donned cowboy boots and Western hats throughout the day, perfectly complementing the theme. The girls, dressed elegantly in black, added a playful touch with their own Western hats during the photoshoot.

With the day’s heat in mind, Stevie and Joe chose to have an indoor ceremony adorned with pampas grass and Western-inspired decor. Joe’s face lit up with pure joy as he saw Stevie walking down the aisle, a moment that moved many to tears of happiness. Stevies uncle performed a beautiful ceremony making them husband and wife.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour on the patio, complete with hors d’oeuvres and a well-stocked bar. Laughter and merriment filled the air as we captured a few more bridal portraits outdoors. The reception was a celebration of love and happiness, marked by heartfelt speeches and a lively dance floor. Everyone joined in the festivities, making cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
