There are some weddings that go beyond the beauty of the day — they touch your heart in a way that feels deeply personal. This one will forever be one of those for me.
Since moving to Nashville, I’ve had the joy of growing close to so many incredible people, and Katelynn and her family are right at the top of that list. What started as a sweet connection through her sister and my daughters quickly turned into such a special friendship. My oldest daughter, Mia Grace, and Katelynn’s sister Kinsley are the best of friends — classmates, soccer teammates, and inseparable partners in fun. Our youngest girls are also best friends, and their older sister, Kendra, has even become our trusted babysitter we adore. Misty their mom is one of a kind and a friend I am so thankful to have! To say we adore this family is truly an understatement.
So when Katelynn asked me to capture her wedding day, my heart could’ve burst. Not only because I adore her and Nolan, but because it meant I got to be part of such a meaningful day for people who have become like family.
To make it even more special, Katelynn invited Mia Grace to join Kinsley at the wedding! Having my little assistant by my side — camera bag in hand and the biggest smile on her face — made the day that much sweeter.
As we arrived up the long, scenic driveway of Southhall Meadows, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable day. The venue was simply breathtaking — sprawling fields, mountain views, and a peaceful charm that set the tone for everything to come.
The morning began in the bridal suite, where laughter and excitement filled the air as Katelynn and her bridesmaids got ready. Just across building, the guys were having their own fun in the groom’s suite — celebrating, joking, and soaking in the moment.
After the special moments with family — including some very emotional ones between Katelynn and her parents as she finished getting ready — it was time for the first look. Nolan and Katelynn shared a private moment that took everyone’s breath away. Their handwritten vows were heartfelt and emotional, full of love, laughter, and the kind of promises that come straight from the soul.
From there, we explored the property for portraits — the golden fields, tree-lined paths, and that signature Southhall beauty made every frame look like a dream.
The ceremony took place beneath a grand tree with the mountains in the distance and sunlight breaking through the clouds just in time for their vows. It was as if God Himself decided to shine a little extra light on this moment. The sweetest touch of all? Their adorable ring bearer made his grand entrance in a remote-control car, instantly stealing the hearts of everyone in attendance!
After their “I do’s,” guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn — and let me tell you, this was one of the coolest touches I’ve ever seen: burrows donkeys delivering drinks! It was such a fun and unique surprise, and the perfect photo opportunity.
Dinner and toasts were held in the barn, where candles glowed and laughter filled the air. The speeches were emotional and beautiful — full of love, joy, and stories that painted the picture of who Nolan and Katelynn are as a couple. After the first dances and a sparkler exit from that first reception space, the celebration continued in a second, more modern part of the venue.
The DJ played from the balcony while guests filled the dance floor below, and the energy was unmatched. The photo booth stayed busy all night long, capturing hilarious moments and memories for everyone. The cake was cut, the dancing never stopped, and joy radiated from every corner of the room.
It was a night full of love, laughter, and the kind of moments that will live in everyone’s hearts for years to come.
Nolan and Katelynn — thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture your wedding day. Your love is pure, your families are incredible, and your day was nothing short of perfect. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images — it was truly an honor to celebrate you both.
