Some senior sessions feel extra special, and Hope’s was one of those evenings I know I’ll remember for a long time. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night at the Nashville lake—beautiful golden light, the sweetest family, and so much joy surrounding this special season of her life.

I’ve had the absolute privilege of getting to know Hope over the past year, beginning when she came to job shadow me. From the very beginning, there was such an easy connection between us. Her love for photography and her natural creative eye immediately stood out to me, and I loved getting to chat with her about our shared passion for creating, seeing beauty, and telling stories through photography.

So getting to go from having Hope job shadow me to now having the honor of photographing her senior portraits was truly such a full-circle moment.

And then there were her sweet parents, who joined us for the evening and made the entire session even more special. The three of them together just have the most amazing energy. They are the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve known them forever, and I found myself smiling and laughing throughout the entire evening.

As we explored the lake, we ventured through all the beautiful light and scenery, capturing Hope in a way that felt completely authentic to her. That dreamy golden glow seemed to follow us everywhere, creating the most beautiful backdrop for this chapter of her story.

But honestly, what I left the session with wasn’t just a camera full of beautiful images. I left feeling incredibly blessed. Blessed that our paths crossed a year ago. Blessed that a shared love for photography created such a sweet connection. Blessed that I’ve gotten to know Hope and her family beyond simply being their photographer. And so incredibly honored that they trusted me to capture such an important season in their lives.

Hope, I have loved watching you grow, getting to know your creative heart, and now seeing you step into this exciting next chapter. I can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you!

This Nashville lake senior session was the perfect reminder of why I love what I do so much. It’s never just about the photographs—it’s about the people, the relationships, and the memories we get to create along the way.
