Grant & Ariel | A Louisville Water tower Wedding

May 23, 2019

April of 2018 was when I met Ariel and our friendship began! She was the maid of honor in a wedding I was shooting. We met and instantly hit it off and became friends.

A few days later Grant, Ariel’s boyfriend at the time, proposed to her. I received a phone call from Ariel and with excitement in her voice she told me she was engaged and wanted me to capture their wedding. I was beyond thrilled and honored!

The planning process began mainly over FaceTime, emails and text due to living far away from one another. We planned out all the details and met for their engagement shoot. Their engagement session was during a season that all the flowers were in bloom. It was beautiful and we captured some amazing images!!

Ariel and Grant’s wedding day arrived. The day that the two became one! You could feel the happiness and love between the couple just by looking at them. The day may not have turned out as originally planned but it couldn’t have been more perfect! Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and turned out to be cold and rainy. Although the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour had to be moved indoors that did not put a damper on things. There was so much joy and happiness that filled the room throughout the entire day! The venue was amazing which was all white with beautiful columns. I think my heart skipped a beat when it first came into sight.

My absolute favorite part of their wedding day was when Ariel’s little boy walked her down the aisle to be given to Grant. During this moment I lost it and the tears began to flow behind my camera. Both of their children were a big part of their wedding making it that much more special!

I am thankful to have this amazing couple as friends and so honored they chose me to capture their wedding day!! Ariel and Grant, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from this spectacular day!!

This day would not have been possible without the amazing team of vendors!
