Lauren and I packed up our camera gear, a suitcase full of cool clothes and off to Nashville we went for the amazing wedding of JR and Jennifer! For months I have been looking forward to not only this phenomenal wedding but to meet this sweet couple!

Jennifer found me from a referral at the wedding venue, Iriswoods in Nashville. I worked with them once last year and everything was a dream! Their venue is so organized, well thought out and did I mention.. BREATHTAKING! So to get to work here again made me one happy photographer!!

Upon arrival to Nashville Lauren and I stopped by the hotel room that was booked for us to freshen up before the big event. Y’all, Jennifer had us a welcome bag full of goodies at the hotel! It had some of their favorite things such as popcorn and hot tamales to eat together. This was a first for me and I must say it won’t be the last because the two together are delicious!! I was blown away and very thankful by this thoughtful and personalized gift!!

Once we arrived at the venue I finally got a huge hug from my sweet bride!! Jennifer and I did not skip a beat and started chatting like we had known each other for years. We jumped right into capturing all the amazing parts of the day!

There were several events that stood out from their wedding day to me. One being, the worship service they had during their ceremony. It was perfect; the wind had a light breeze making the temperature just right. They had two of the most talented friends playing the guitar and singing. Everyone was worshiping and feeling grateful for this time. I must say this moment gave me chills!

Another stand out moment was when Jennifer and JR made their grand entrance into the reception. The music was bumping, the guest were standing and cheering, and the two came in not only dancing but with a money gun making it rain all over the reception. You talk about having fun!!!

The party did not stop there, this group of people knew how to have a good time! The dance floor was packed the entire night! There were moments when guest were dancing with one of the elders walker. Girls were being spun into the air and to finish off the amazing night the bride and groom had everyone sing “God Bless America”… It was insanely fun!!! Oh, and they even sent us home with XO Krispy Kreme Donuts! Say what!!!!! The fun and excitement of the entire day was spectacular!!

I am so grateful I got to capture Jennifer and JR’s wedding. It made my love for Nashville even stronger and I simply adore this couple and their family! I hope you all enjoy a few of my favorites from their day!
