Mr. & Mrs. Betz | A Downtown Galt House Wedding

Jun 18, 2021

Demi and Ryan’s big day was a beautiful celebration of their love, surrounded by the sweetest family and friends!  Throughout the day I truly felt so welcomed by everyone, vendors and family alike.  Both the ceremony and reception venues were gorgeous and added the perfect backdrop for the story of this day!  After the recent gloomy weather forecasts in Kentucky, the sun decided to come out providing perfect weather for us!

The day started out with Demi getting ready at the cutest, chic salon where her bridesmaids already had the party mood going with a fruit spread, drinks, and their adorable matching pajamas.  All of her well chosen details were ready to be documented, and I even incorporated some of the orange slices from the fruit spread to add a unique touch when capturing them.  Next, it was the Groom’s turn to get ready at the Galt House and he had some details of his own such as the cologne Demi made him and the watch she gifted him specifically for this day.

Finally, it was time for the ceremony, which was held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.  Demi and Ryan opted to share “first touch” rather than a “first look”, which made for a tear-filled moment that calmed their nerves.  The church was illuminated with natural light pouring in through all the windows and the ceremony consisted of a beautiful Mass and communion.

Afterwards, everyone headed to the Galt House in the heart of downtown Louisville for the reception.  This served as the perfect space for some photos overlooking the riverfront and we definitely took advantage of the nice weather by capturing some gorgeous portraits.  The bridesmaids all wore a different shade of blue, perfectly complemented by the city scape and river scene.  The reception was filled with sentimental toasts, especially by the bride’s dad, and everyone ended the night joining the couple on the dance floor.

Demi and Ryan, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites.

This amazing day could not have been possible without this wonderful team of vendors!
