There’s just something about summer nights in Tennessee—especially when they’re spent with a family you admire so dearly.

This beautiful family session took place on the edge of a serene lake here in Nashville, and it was nothing short of magical. The lighting was absolute perfection—the kind of warm golden glow that wraps everything in softness and makes each moment feel a little more special. It was the perfect backdrop for an evening full of laughter, movement, and sweet connection.

We spent the session playing, giggling, and simply soaking in the joy of just being together. From spontaneous tickles to quiet cuddles and everything in between, these are the kind of sessions I live for—real, relaxed, and overflowing with love.

What made this evening even more special for me is how much I adore this family. Since we moved to Nashville, they’ve poured so much love and kindness into our girls, and I’ll never be able to thank them enough for that. It’s a gift to photograph families like this, and even more of a gift to call them friends.
