There’s something so magical about sunrise sessions — the calm stillness of the morning, the soft golden light dancing across the water, and the feeling that the whole world is just waking up. My time with the Griggs family at the lake in Nashville was nothing short of beautiful.

From the very first moment, these three sweet boys and their adorable little sister brought all the energy, laughter, and joy a photographer could ever hope for. We ran along the shoreline, skipped rocks, and shared so many giggles in between snuggles with Mom and Dad. There’s something about early mornings that brings out the most genuine smiles — and the Griggs crew absolutely brought it!

And to make the morning even sweeter, we ended our session with the most precious celebration — their baby girl’s first birthday! Her brothers were so proud, cheering her on as she dove into her cake during the most adorable cake smash right there by the water. Frosting-covered fingers, little belly laughs, and pure joy — it was the perfect ending to a perfect morning.

Sessions like this remind me exactly why I love what I do — freezing these fleeting seasons of childhood and family life into timeless memories.
