When you have guest coming in from California and all over the US to your wedding you know its not just going to be an exciting reunion but its also going to be a great party as well! John and Cassie’s wedding day was nothing short of that.

I knew this couples wedding day was going to be one I would never forget from the moment I took their engagement photos. Cassie asked me if I would be okay to hike the pinnacles and take photos at the top… ‘UM, YES!” It has been a dream of mine to do an engagement at the top of the pinnacles and this sweet couple made that dream come true. I knew then that their wedding was going to be just as exciting and fun.

As the wedding day arrived we could not have been blessed with better weather! After 99 degree Kentucky weather the few days leading up to the big day the wedding day was nothing but mild temperatures and a little overcast. There was just enough sun that came through to make their photos sparkle!

Cassie and John’s wedding took place at a new wedding venue called the Hawks Nest, They were the first couple to get married there and it was spectacular! The Hawks Nest possesses the most beautiful farm land, tree covered drives, a beautiful barn and so much more! Every little detail that they planned was absolutely beautiful which made the venue shine even brighter.

Not only was the weather perfect and every detail absolutely beautiful, there were also many emotional moments that took place throughout the day that made this day so special. One of my favorite moments was the look on John’s face when he saw Cassie for the first time during their intimate first look together. It was such a raw and emotional moment. Another moment I will never forget was that of the father/daughter dance. While I was crying behind my camera lens watching Cassie and her father wiping away joyful tears, I then looked over to see Cassie’s mom and sister hugging and crying as well. It was an emotional and beautiful moment that left so many with tears in their eyes.

After all the emotional moments, came the PARTY! Let me express how much fun it was. The dance floor was full the entire nigh and their guest could really dance!! I had so much fun capturing everyone having the time of their lives and loved watching all the dance circles that broke out for everyone to show off some great moves.
