Morgan and JD’s wedding day was the perfect blend of winter coziness and timeless elegance. From the very beginning, the entire day felt wrapped in warmth—despite the chilly Kentucky air.
We started the morning at Morgan’s grandmother’s beautiful home, a place already filled with heart and history. Laughter echoed through every room as hair and makeup brushes flew, glasses clinked, and the girls shared stories that had everyone smiling. It was the sweetest, most joy-filled start to the day.
From there, we made our way to the stunning First Christian Church in downtown Richmond. This church is absolutely jaw-dropping with its tall architectural ceilings, intricate details, and glowing stained-glass windows. It truly felt like stepping into a cathedral. Morgan and JD shared their first look and private vows —an intimate, emotional moment that set the tone for the rest of the day. We laughed our way through bridal party photos, soaking in the beauty of the space and the excitement of what was to come.
Soon it was time for the ceremony. As the doors opened and Morgan began her walk down the church’s long aisle, every head turned. All eyes were on the beautiful bride, and the look on JD’s face said everything. Their ceremony was sentimental, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect.
After the “I do’s,” guests made their way across town to the King Johnson Building for cocktail hour. They were greeted with tall, elegant signage, a fun photo-booth wall, an open bar, and waiters serving delicious hors d’oeuvres. Meanwhile, we finished up family formals and captured a few “just married” portraits before the couple joined their guests downstairs to celebrate.
When it was time to move upstairs to the grand ballroom for the reception, the scene was breathtaking. The room was filled with tall floral centerpieces, glowing lights, and beautifully set tables. Guests enjoyed a lovely dinner paired with specialty cocktails, followed by the most heartfelt toasts. Cake cutting, special dances, and sweet moments flowed into a night full of energy.
And once the dance floor opened… the party truly began. Music, laughter, and happy tears carried everyone late into the night. Morgan even surprised everyone with the sweetest outfit change—her mother’s wedding dress, redesigned into the cutest cocktail dress. Paired with her personalized sneakers, she danced the night away in true Morgan fashion, comfortable, radiant, and completely glowing with joy.
It was a winter wedding full of warmth, beauty, and joy—one that will be remembered for years to come.
